Honestly, this is the only thing preventing this minivan from being the world's most perfect vehicle, in my opinion. You should be aware of the engine misfire lawsuit if shopping for a Honda years 2008 through 2016 or so. This invaluable device stopped all the goofy engine vibrations and instilled confidence in our van not having oil seepage, plug fouling and misfire issues. I forget our Odyssey had VCM because I disabled it long ago with VCMuzzler. It towed our popup camper for years like it wasn't even behind us and now tows our small travel trailer like a champ. It has enough space to haul family, friends, luggage, equipment, furniture. The back row typically stays up leaving the deep well available for us to fill. Power tailgate has been used thousands, maybe tens of thousands of times, allowing us to load groceries, furniture, sports equipment, you name it. Plus we never had to worry about smashing doors into cars or garage walls. Power sliding doors made it easy for us to load our kids into the van as babies in travel system carriers, then allowed them to climb in as toddlers so we could buckle them, and now our kids climb in and buckle themselves. It has been 100% reliable (only one heater seat TSB fix), is powerful, smooth, comfortable and quiet, and has leather and almost every gadget and gizmo imaginable. Our Odyssey Touring is built like a premium vehicle. We have no reason to even shop for another family vehicle anytime soon. Our Odyssey has stood the test of time, already outlasting 3 of those other vehicles. What we've owned include: Accord, Camry, WRX, Legacy, Tribeca, Prius, TSX and TLX. I came here to tell everyone reading this and anyone researching Odysseys that it's not only an amazing family minivan, but quite possibly the best vehicle we've ever owned - and that's coming from a crazy car guy who can't … keep a car longer than 3 years. That means as of this writing, we've had it for 4.5 years and put on about 50k miles. We bought our 2012 Odyssey, which was 3yrs old with 30k miles, in Spring 2015. You won't regret it! AutoCheck Vehicle History Summary That said, I'd highly recommend Corwin Toyota for anyone in the market, and would ask to work with Brad. I had to make a compromise on one of the features, but I was happy to do it to get the color, seat layout, and interior I wanted. He also did a wonderful job explaining that, while he could try to find me a Highlander that fit my exact wants, it'd be tough in this market. Unlike other salespeople I've worked with, Brad was not pushy at all, didn't try to sell me on warranties or financing that I didn't want, and made a fair offer for my trade. The other dealership initially offered me $4k for our trade, so I was pleased to see that Corwin's offer was very fair and reflected the market. The KBB trade offer I received on their website was $9k, and they ended up making a final offer of $8,500, as there was some bumper damage I had forgotten about. Kudos to Brad for thoroughly explaining the state of the market and helping us get the one we wanted. So, while we didn't want to spend an extra $1k for the navigation system, we did so that we could get the vehicle. ![]() He said he could try to find us one that met our criteria, but it'd be tough right now because dealers don't have much incentive to trade. He showed us the incoming vehicles and explained that there were only 2 white Highlander Hybrids scheduled for the next few months. He was professional, polite, and knowledgeable. My wife and I went into the dealership and ended up working with Brad Darden. After a bad experience at another dealership and reaching out to get a cash offer for my trade-in, I was impressed by the follow-up of the staff. I was in the market for a white Highlander Hybrid, which is a bit hard to find in this market as it's a popular color.
